We're not sure whether to rejoice or cry. On the one hand, JJ Abrams has breathed exciting new life into both the Star Trek and Mission: Impossible franchises, but on the other hand Super 8 was a MASSIVE disappointment. Walt Disney Studios announced today a release date for the highly anticipated sequel to Marvel Studio's blockbuster The Avengers. The Super Hero's will re-assemble in theaters May 1, 2015. Joss Whedon returns to write and direct the currently untitled follow up to the third highest grossing film of all time.

The first film hits 3D Blu-ray and other formats September 25th, 2012.

To build anticipation for the September 18th Blu-ray release of the complete adventures of Henry Jones Jr. (aka Indiana Jones) Paramount Pictures, Lucasfilm and Steven Spielberg are unleashing the good doctors first adventure Raiders Of The Lost Ark for 1 week only in IMAX. Legendary rock n' roll band Guns N' Roses have announced a 12 date residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas that will start on October 31st (Halloween) and conclude on November 24th, dubbed "Appetite For Democracy".

The concerts, on the heels of the 25th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction, will cull hits from that 1987 debut through 2008's Chinese Democracy. Tickets, starting at $45, go on sale Friday (details at thejointlasvegas.com).
